Why should I join a small group?
We believe that you can only grow so much in your spiritual life without other people. Being in a small group will help you develop friendships that will push you further faster on your spiritual journey. Plus, groups help each other during tough times and help you realize that you are not alone in whatever you are going through.

Do you have to be a member of Trinity to join a small group?
Not at all. Small groups are open to everyone.

Is there childcare available?
It depends on the group. Each group figures out childcare on their own.

What happens at small group?
You show up and eat and hang out for about 20 minutes. Then, the group shifts to our message based curriculum for about 40 minutes. That means we talk about the message from the previous weekend. It allows everyone to have the opportunity to ask questions about things they didn’t understand. The discussion is highly practical to your life. Our leaders facilitate discussion; they do not preach! Then, the groups move into a time of prayer, hang out for a while and go home.

What if I don’t like the first group I try?
Try another one! We understand that not every person is going to click the first night so we ask that you hang out in your group for about 5 weeks. Usually after 5 weeks, you can get a sense of whether you gel with the group or not. If after 5 weeks you don’t gel, try another group.

Why message based small groups?
Sermon-based small groups help strengthen our unity because everyone is talking about the same topic. Sermon-based groups also help us apply God’s Word and not just be satisfied with listening to it. Sermon-based groups also help avoid the awkward silence when the question What do we study next? is asked.
